Ok so I went to sleep and dreamed that I was taking my college courses on a cruise ship. At first I was really good at taking my classes, but soon the days dragged on and I was struggling to focus on anything or get anything done. Then I met a boy who said he worked on this cruise ship his entire life, he looked Mexican but I think he was Indian. He said he was named after Krishna but that he didn't like the name because he is Christain, nor did he like the 100 something. While he was talking the ship was tipping and it overturned and drowned him, the liquid felt kind of real and I saw that he was dead, I reached out my hand to his so that he would not be alone. I knew I wasn't going to live and so I looked upward reminding myself of the resurrection. Then I woke up in my bed and my mom and aunt were trying to get me to choose which dinner to feed my brother and I kept having to remind myself I was asleep which would reset the dream.
This dream seems to reflect some underlying emotions and concerns you may have in your waking life.
The cruise ship symbolizes your journey through your college courses. Initially, you feel confident and competent, but as time progresses, you start to struggle and lose focus. This could suggest that you may be feeling overwhelmed or finding it difficult to stay motivated or engaged in your studies.
The boy you meet, who appears to be of mixed ethnicity, may represent diversity or unfamiliarity in your life. His conflicting identity, being named after Krishna but identifying as Christian, could reflect inner conflicts or confusion about your own beliefs or sense of self.
The ship tipping over and the boy drowning might symbolize a sense of chaos or instability in your life. It may feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate through challenging situations. Your reaching out to him could indicate your empathy and desire not to let others feel alone during difficult times.
Your awareness of your impending death in the dream and your thoughts about resurrection suggest a contemplation of life, death, and a potential renewal or rebirth. It may reflect a reminder to focus on the bigger picture and find strength and hope in the face of difficulties.
Finally, the transition to waking life and your interaction with your mom and aunt could represent a struggle between the dream world and reality. It may suggest that you are feeling torn between different responsibilities or expectations, and finding it challenging to fully engage in either.
